One long day!

Good Saturday Morning All,

Well, this week has been a long week for all of us! As many of you know, I was exposed to a kid that had Meningitis while I was at the YMCA in Pooler, GA. For those of you who don't know, Meningococcal Meningitis is an infection of the fluid of a person's spinal cord and the fluid that surrounds the brain. Bacterial meningitis can be quite severe and may result in brain damage, hearing loss, or learning disability. Well, as soon as I was exposed, I began to show the symptons immediately. I received numerous shots, IV's, and lots of antibiotics. I am still in the hospital right now under isolation, but I am in good spirits. Mom had her handy camera with her and wanted you to follow us on our journey. A special thanks to Mrs. Melissa and Mr. Matt and my friend Miles for the balloons, coloring book and crayons. That really made my day! Another big thanks to Daddy's friends and co-workers over at McDevitt Air for sending me some really cool balloons! Thanks to Ms. Veronica for taking care of Dom, while Mom and Dad were taking good care of me, we really appreciate her! Thanks to Ms. Jill, Ms. Suzanne, and Mrs. Lisa for calling Mom to check in! And last but not least, Thank You to everyone for their concern and prayers, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! The medicine seems to be doing its job and I hope to be home later next week!

Day 1: I just arrived at the hospital.

The nurses had to work right away, so they gave
me an IV with lots of medicine in it.

It hurt really bad, but as always,Dad was there to
comfort me.

Daddy does diaper "dooty" part 2!

Because Dom had been around me, he had to get shots
too, here he is getting a check up! He now weighs
13 lbs! He's a ham!

Here is one of my IV's.

Day 2: I am still very sore, but I am beginning
to come around.

Day 2

Day 3: Mom is determined to get pics in. I am
beginning to come around. Today I got another IV.

Nobody does it like Dad, he got me some
new Pokemon cards to speed up my recovery!

These are the balloons that Mr. Matt, Mrs. Melissa,
and my friend Miles sent to me!
Getting some rest!

The really cool coloring book from Mr. Matt,
Mrs. Melissa, and Miles!

More balloons!

And even more balloons!

I had a really cool hospital room that had an
Under the Sea theme! Check out the pictures below!

Thanks again everyone!
Love Jay & Dom
